Have you ever had this happen on an older dresser?? No need to throw the dresser away. This can be fixed without having to replace the entire side of the drawer. 

Check out this video on what I did in this exact situation. It is amazing how easy it is to do some simple repairs. All I needed was a square dowel and some wood glue.
